Nuts (protein), natural is better. And unlike my son who eats them by the bowlful, try to limit yourself to a small handful. Try a little peanut butter on an apple slice.
Fruit- have several servings a day. An apple, pear, orange, banana, slice of pineapple, mango, etc.
Veggies- it’s hard to have too many, so help yourself to carrots, peppers, cukes, celery, broccoli, etc.
Simple breakfast ideas:
Granola, watch for added sugar and try adding yogurt (for additional protein) instead of milk.
Oatmeal, again watch for added sugars. Add fresh blueberries, nuts, honey.
Egg sandwich. Fry up an egg and slide it between 2 slices of whole wheat bread.
Super foods! These are low calorie but nutrient rich foods that help shield your body from cell damage, preventing disease. Blueberries, kale, salmon, almonds, broccoli, avocados, flaxseed, sweet potatoes, quinoa, spinach, and many more.
