Expressing gratitude is one of the most powerful techniques you can use to make a positive difference in your life.

Let’s Yak:

November is a great time to give thanks.  Whether or not you celebrate Thanksgiving, eat turkey, or gather with family, it’s time to think about what we are grateful for. Maybe you don’t have your dream job yet, or the perfect SO, but can you name a few things you are thankful for in your life right now? Routinely practicing gratitude shifts your perspective to the positive. It’s a great way to interrupt anxiety. It can be done in an instant, by anyone, anywhere. You don’t have to schedule time for it. In a moment, when you are feeling overwhelmed, just say or think some expression of gratitude. The possibility of reducing stress, anxiety, sleeping better or feeling happier are worth the choice. #countyourblessings

Take a Hike:

No matter what kind of day you are having, (good, so-so, or downright crappy), name 3 things you are grateful for!

Just before going to bed tonight say or write:  “I am grateful for <> because <>.”

What can be hard at first, over time, will have you looking forward to it. #makeitahabit #doiteveryday

Being grateful can improve your mental health, your overall health, and positively change your attitude. Gratitude is not a cure all but will definitely point you in the right direction. Life looks better through gratitude glasses.
